things i can't understand
freeness, newness, ampersand
the way of a woman with a man
the way she touches the hands,
the sweat glands pool and
puruse fingertips to tend the land
finds merely solely the chasm
warm undue, damp too fast
rome's raided, sword in hand
niiiiiiiiiiice
ReplyDeleteof course, "undue" looks like "nude" or even "unnude"
hmmmm....
and then the last bit sounds like a premature ejaculation, or even a defeated evening of masturbation...(considering that 'vagina' is Latin for "sheath")
i hope that's not too crass...
I think both of those are interesting things to explore--literally and symbolically.
hmmmm...
ReplyDeletethat's a whole 'nother level.
i was just thinking about barbarians. but then again, rome wasn't known as a soft, romantic and defenseless city/empire. there is tension there (much like w/ natasaya filippnovna in dostoevsky's The Idiot, which i am LOVIN'. course, most of this was written before i bought this.)
always a pleasure to get a read, though, adam. and an interpretation (yours are always so vastly different than mine. but i love that.)
