let me see your face
if you would decide to deride,
to call out heavy names
names i cannot bear,
that i do not dare
call another without proof that would
stand in court
the vindicative and dericisive
shush
land in our lands
fight for our ports
go inland and kill all in sight
with a thrill that entices
and spits in the face of all
that dare to look in the eyes,
sis,
let dusk be still for one night

  1. You're my hero!

I would *love* to use "dericisive" in a poem, and you managed to do it without it becoming a heavy weight on the poem, and on the tongue that reads it.

    Slick!

Really dig this piece. But this:

"fight for our ports"...reminds me of the ongoing battle with Afghan vs. US port management right now. Something about the US not wanting Islamic-extremist-militant related financers backing/owning US ports...right? Is that where you got it from?

Anyway yeah, ummm...oh I like this part!

"go inland and kill all in sight
    with a thrill that entices
and spits in the face of all
that dare to look in the eyes,
    sis,
let dusk be still for one night"

Bonechilling. Very much so. I like the idea of dusk being still. That's calming. I'm loving that.
